We had a great day today! The sun was shining, it was almost 70, Ben was able to get an early flight home, and Turkey didn't mess his pants at school! I'll take the little victories when and where I can get them.
Turkey has been mostly potty trained for a while now, but he REFUSES to poop in the toilet. I don't know what I'm going to do with him. We did get a little closer today...he sat on the potty two times for a good amount of time and he really did try to go. I think that after he gets it in his head that it's possible to do we'll be good to go...at least I hope and pray that's the case.
After I picked Turkey up from school we went to Chick-fil-a for a playdate with some friends. One of our preschool friends came along too. I'm so glad that her and her mom came. I love getting to know people better! God has blessed me tremendously by putting some great people in my path!
Well, I'm going to try to get to bed earlier tonight. I've been reading a new book, Promise Me, that one of my dear friends gave me for my birthday. I LOVE it so far and I don't want to put it down. But not getting to bed until 1am is starting to catch up with me.
Tomorrow is my last day to go to the office. Hope it's not too emotional!

Love this weather!
It's been such a nice day! Turkey and I had to run to Meijer this morning to get some milk and snacks for school tomorrow. Then after we had lunch we went to storytime. One of Turkey's friends from preschool goes to the same storytime so he really enjoys that. It's nice getting to know his mom too. Today it was all about numbers!
When we got home, we took Molly for a short walk since it's so nice out. She was more than happy for that...until Turkey decided it was HIS turn to walk her. I'll try to post a picture later this evening.
We will be going to Awana later. It will just be me and Turkey. King Turkey is at his dad's house helping out his Nanny do some work and Ben is out of town till tomorrow evening. Wish me luck!

Workers Comp?
First injury of my new "job." I was on the phone with my sister-in-law, BB, and I was walking into the kitchen. However, along the way I stepped on a Hot Wheel car, which hurt like you wouldn't believe, lost my balance, and just about went headfirst into the wall. I dropped the phone, scrapped my hand trying to stop myself from falling, and thought I broke my finger. It's still pretty swollen, but I don't think it's broke. Who knew that staying home could be so dangerous?!?
Turkey and I dropped MaMaw off at the airport this morning. She is on her way to FL and will be leaving tomorrow on an Elvis cruise. Yes, that's right, and ELVIS PRESLEY cruise. This sound strange and scary to me (think of a bunch of people, dressed up like The King on a big boat, what's not scary about that?); but I know she will be having the time of her life. And if someday they were to offer a Steven Tyler cruise, I would be first in line for tickets, so I won't harass her too much.
After the airport Turkey and I went to the libray and got him is very own libray card. He picked the orange card; that's his new favorite color, at least for today. I was trying to get him to pick out some books to borrow, but he was more intrested in talking to every kid that was in the children's area. We hung around for storytime which he enjoyed a lot. A friend from preschool was there, and Turkey thought that was way cool. Guess we now have a date on Wednesday afternoons!
Well, I gotta start dinner. It's AWANA night and my goal is to be on time...for the first time all year.

What Does A Stay At Home Mom Do?
So, my last day at work was Friday. However, I will be working a few Mondays and Fridays until my replacement starts and is trained. I guess that means I'm still employed at least for a few more weeks. Which is good, I think. I'll be able to ease into this being home all day thing.
People keep asking me what I've got planned. Truth, I've got all kinds of plans in my mind, but my follow though isn't that good. I want to clean the house, room by room and get rid of all the extra stuff we have. I want to catch up on my scrapbooks and maybe even finish some other projects that I've started that are begging to be complete. I want to take Turkey to the library for storytime. The list could go on and on. But, in reallity, what will I really get done? Maybe this will help keep me accountable. If I feel like I have an "audience" that wants to know what I'm up to, then I'll have to be up to something, right?
All that to say, day 1 is tomorrow. Let's just see what this SAHM stuff brings!
